After a bitterly disappointing loss on the weekend against a capable Acton side, The Young Reds looked to get back to winning ways in a tough away fixture.
Mold Town are traditionally excellent on their home turf and always pose a challenge, so The Nomads knew that they had to be on form to get anything from the game, and on form they were.
The opening exchanges were excellent for the away team, with all departments working in tandem - Connor Courtnell and Dom Elsey-McHugh in particular working as a fantastic duo.
After working some openings and forcing some great saves from the home keeper Martyn Farr, Nomads got their breakthrough on the 20th minute. Conor Harwood working with Elsey-McHugh on the left before driving to the bar line and past his man, Harwood then rifled the ball across goal towards Craig Chisholm on the back post - the ball was turned into his own net by a Mold defender.
Under 15 minutes later Harwood would get a goal of his own, a great cross by Dom Elsey-McHugh saw the central midfielder rise highest and power a header back across goal to double Nomads' lead.
3 minutes later Mold pulled one back with an excellent goal themselves, some excellent work through the middle saw their winger released behind the Nomads defense; a perfect first touch him shift the ball into space and smash the ball home.
Just before half time, powerful striker Jack Foster would score a brace. His first was an excellent goal, Dom Elsey-McHugh again involved, skinning his man and pulling the ball back to the on-running Foster who absolutely drilled the ball into the roof of the net - making the goal look much easier than it actually was. His second Jack Foster came from brilliant work by Connor Courtnell down the left. Courtnells cross was killed with Fosters first touch, taking out his marker, before directing a side foot into the bottom corner.
Half time team talk from Woodward and Manley was a call for more of the same, a couple of Mold players were getting niggly, so moving the ball quick and not dwelling in possession was also a command.
5 minutes into the second half Dom Elsey-McHugh got in on the act, Conor Harwood releasing him down the right into space. Elsey-McHugh drove forward towards the box, Mold players were recovering but clever forward movement by Foster saw the nearest man to Elsey-McHugh get blocked off, giving him the time to get his shot off into the bottom corner.
Exciting first year scholar, Jacob Barrett got a goal 5 minutes after his introduction to the game from the bench. He found space in a crowded box and snapped the ball past the home keeper after a great pass from Conor Harwood.
10 minutes before the full time whistle Joe Sullivan wrapped things up with a pile driver from 30 yards after being released by Craig Chisholm.

Player of the Match - Conor Harwood
Conor Harwood at the heart of midfield was involved in everything good that the Nomads did today, 4 assists and a goal showed exactly the influence that he had in the game. Its no accident that he in around the first team and stood out in the Welsh squads in the last 12 months, his performance was very mature, taking kicks and gamesmanship without reacting. Recognition has to go to Dom Elsey-McHugh too, who was involved in 3 goals today himself and could easily have picked up MoM on another day.
