After hearing illingworth only went with 13 to silsden the week before cowling had high hopes for this game and on friday night a twenty man squad but come 130pm Saturday only had eleven players but every player there said lets play.
On cowlings muddy field illingworth found the going tough and this was a credit to the quins defense Craig Nicholson ,Milky Skinner and and man of the match Ryan Hawkins kept cowling fighting strong and when illingworth did break they could only score in the corner using there extra man overlap.
Nicky Smith,Josh jolly and Facko Narey kept the quins right edge solid and put in great work all over the field and going in 34-0 at half time this could of gone daft with the score but Daz greenwood words at half time inspired the quins calling for the quins to never give up and get points on the board.
Daz Palmer,Dean Williamson and Ali Feather got the quins forward and Greenwood went close in the corner but held up then Nicholson and smith powered over but the halifax side holding firm and a loose pass found illingworths speedy full back to race away 4 nil second half and the harlequins showing true spirit and the effort from the team was unreal illingworth went in again at the corner and then Nicholson popped up near the illys line and popped over the drop goals the harlequins was over the moon 10-1 second half and this game as lifted cowling for this weekends home game to mirfield stags at burgess 230pm.
