Scotland vs Italy 18 March 2017

This weekend it was the turn of the Northern Clubs to be invited by the SRU President to the Scotland vs Italy game. The Clubs represented were Deeside, Garioch, Aberdeen Wanderers, Gordonians and Caithness. Deeside were represented by Coaching Coordinator Mike Fraser and Club President Ian Finlayson.

It was a terrific day that started in the morning with meeting HRH Princess Anne and her husband before the game and then the post match dinner with both sets of players in attendance (although, it did take quite a long time for the Scotland team to emerge from their dressing room!) and the speeches from both captains and the respective presidents. That then concluded with the presentation of a first cap to one of the Italian players.
