Our PCS Accreditation Award

By Peter Templeton

On Sunday we became the first Tayside and Fife rugby club (and ninth in Scotland) to receive the Bill McLaren Foundation sponsored Positive Coaching Scotland Accreditation Award supported by Scottish Rugby.

At a presentation ceremony held at Queen Ann High School, club president Dougie Mayne received the award on behalf of our club from Linda Lawson, Bill Mclaren's daughter and her husband Alan Lawson, current president of the SRU.

The ceremony was the culmination of 12 months work by the club to complete the various accreditation requirements. Over the remainder of the season and beyond, we will be building on our work to date and developing further our existing coaching and player development frameworks to ensure our players, coaches, parents and visitors enjoy a 'positive' rugby experience at the club.
