TWO TOWN PLAYERS MAKE TEAM-OF-THE-WEEK

By Club Reporter

BOTH scorers from Faversham Town's 3-1 win over VCD Athletic on Saturday have today made the latest KentOnline team-of-the-week.

Luke Griffiths, 18, was selected on the right-hand side of a midfield that also included Folkestone Invicta's Sam Hasler, Welling United's Joe Healy and Gillingham's Antigua and Barbuda international Josh Parker.

The teenager scored the Lilywhites' first when he latched onto a loose ball after a Dan Carrington shot had been blocked, before completing the turnaround when he again found the bottom corner of Joe Mant's net.

Meanwhile Ollie Lee, 22, also was selected in the team team after he secured Faversham's win, heading home Danny Walder's corner to cap his fifth club appearance.

Also in the KentOnline team-of-the-week's defence were Gillingham's Sean Clare, Loui Fazakerley from Dover Athletic and Sittingbourne's Chris Elliott.

Lee said on Instagram: "[I] never post about football anymore but I thought this is worth a post.

"Waking up to being sent this by someone and seeing my name in the Kentonline team-of-the-week alongside some great players has made my day.

"Makes scoring feel even better now!"

But Folkestone Invicta's long-serving manager Neil Cugley pipped Town's Ray Turner to the manager of the month accolade.
