Brave Fram battle against Cleeve

After three successive victories Frampton headed to Cleeve for an incredibly tough game again a very well drilled Cleve team.

This proved to be the case as Cleeve ran out victors however Frampton had their moments and the game saw some much improved defensive work with some cracking tackles by Marcus, Gabe and Roy. With Lewis at scrum half and Finn at full back, both had some impressive runs and with the aggression of Matt and Mike Frampton were always in the thick of the action.

The highlights for Frampton saw them score two tries of their own, both scored by Nik and both in the first half. The first a well worked move following a penalty and Jamie’s run and pass found Nik who burst through the Cleeve defence and despite several tackles was able to dive across the line. The second a great piece on inventive play when the ball fell loose and Nik was quickest to react to pick the ball up and cross the line.

A tough day at the office for the Green Army today but a very spirited performance against a classy Cleve side. Well done boys, we go again next week !
