Lousy weather, a ploughed field for a pitch & substandard display from the Blues meant a 4-1 win for a distinctly average Ashton in the FA Trophy 1st qualifying round on Saturday.
Jammer & RPatts came back into the starting 11 after serving 1 match bans, but Haze was missing - serving a 1 match ban himself.
Ashton were 1 up just before the half hour. Frickley equalised on 70 minutes - number 98 for you know who - from what was their own real piece of quality football on the day. Ashton scored 3 in the last 15 minutes to give a scoreline that was very flattering for them.
The team didn't defend well - that's from 1 through 11 not just the back line - & it was only thanks to a Sebba masterclass that it wasn't over by half time.
WEBMASTER MOTM - Sebba, gave us hope thoughout
Next up we're away at Leek Town on Saturday - if selected it will be Jammers 100th game for Frickley
