Prims travelled to Leicester to play Aylestone Park. Prims gave a debut to goalkeeper Daniel Hartshorn as Andy Fretwell was unavailable, they also welcomed back Dom Wilkinson who has rejoined the club from Heanor Town.
Prims did start brightly, but it then fell apart after 10 minutes when they were unable to clear a corner and the ball fell to Potter who scored from 8 yards out. After 30 minutes a needless challenge from Oliver Ball on Aycott in the penalty area gave the referee an easy decision and point to the spot. Which saw Laywood score from the spot kick.
Prims didn’t give up and after 35 minutes came back into the game when Matt Pearce scored a penalty after Brad Scard was fouled.
Two minutes later Aycott broke clear and scored past Hartshorn, then he scored his second on 41 minutes after being put though by Potter.
Prims did come close when a Ball header stuck a post.
Half time
Aylestone Park 4 Prims 1
The second Prims came out a different side, and started to press the home side but only created half chances, but missing a recognised forward did not help the cause. But they did restrict Aylestone who struggled to create many goal attempts. However I the 76 minutes Aycott completed his hat trick.
Prims did not give up and with the last kick of the game Wilkinson hit the post with a well taken free kick.
