We travelled to Harlech with a threadbare squad of 13 and no keeper!
Big thanks to Owen Vaughan,Brendon Whitfield and Sion Childes who stepped up from the 18s.
With club captain Richard Evans in goal and a change of formation we started the game really quickly and after just 6 minutes some good play between Owain Roberts and Jamie Aston saw Tim Evans (sponsored by Christy Pritchard) fire in from 20 yards.
10 minutes later it was 2 as great play from Guy Hughes and Callum Davidson released the impressive Sion Childes to deliver a great cross where the poacher Tim Evans smashed in his second. We continued to dominate and had a few more chances including Gareth Barker hitting a post and Callum Davidson firing just over.
A third goal did come and a one two between Gaz and Andrew Wannop (sponsored by Robyn Cooke) put Andy through 1 on 1 with the keeper and he made no mistake with a cool finish.
Half Time Harlech Town 0 - 3 Menai Bridge Tigers
Second half was the same as the first with us completely dominating and the 4th goal came and was worth the wait. Free kick 30 yards out and up stepped birthday boy Tom Parry to curl it round the wall and into the top corner!
The rest of the half was played out and in the last minute Harlech got a consolation goal with a good finish after a scramble. Overall a great performance considering how short we were rich looked comfortable in goal and unlucky not to keep a clean sheet. We played some really good stuff and created a lot of chances.
Owen Vaughan replaced Gareth Barker after 62 mins and Brendan Whitfield replacing Tim Evans after 65 mins.
To finish the game with 5 players under 18 was pleasing .
Full Time - Harlech Town 1 - 4 Menai Bridge Tigers
No game next week due to internationals break where Tim will be hoping for a late call up after hitting top scoring form!
