Welcome to the Whitgiftians Junior Rugby U12s Team Page!

Old Whits is an RFU accredited club, our Under 12 (school year 7) team trains every Sunday from 10am to 11.30 and follows the RFU age grade rugby progression. Our sessions are designed to be Active, Purposeful, Enjoyable and Safe and we avoid chidren queuing up in the cold to take their turn in a "drill". Once players have been assessed as safe to play contact, we will ensure that all players are in the match day squad and will get at least half the game time available.

Our emphasis is on fun and enjoyment as we want the children to really get the Rugby bug! Each week we award TREDS (Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline, Sportsmanship) trophies to recognise players who have upheld the core values of rugby. These trophies can be kept by the player for the week before being returned for the next worthy winner.
