The boys brought back the silverware

Batting 1st we got of to a flyer with David Foster top scoring with 50, backed up by Kingy and Price. We looked to be cruising it and a big score looked on the cards.

The decision to put the foot on the gas coincided with Haverhill bringing on the accurate bowling of Liam Botten (5-33) which pegged us back from a potential 170plus to carding 152 for 6.

In reply Haverhill innings got of to a slow but composed start with Mick Franks making 51.
Needing 12 an over from the 13th over the game looked to be out of reach for Haverhill but the man of the match Liam Botten came in with some destructive hitting and a quick 27 to leave Haverhill needing just 12 of the last over.

Step forward Jonny Hancock who took 2 wickets for 6 runs in the last to deny Haverhill and to see it home! Haverhill ending with 146 for 8.

Great game and our first silverware since 1990.
