Stamford finally delivered what they had threatened to do in other matches this season. Writes Stephen Breden

One minute in and Delroy Gordon was forced to make a good block from a Danny Duridat shot. Five minutes later a Ben George throw came to Rob Morgan who played it to Liam Adams who shot wide. A minute later a Josh March long range effort went wide. On the tenth minute a Jake Duffy corner was missed by the keeper and Ashely Carter headed into his own net. Two minutes later Liam Adams flicked the ball over the defence and the ball was tucked away by Jordan Smith but the linesman’s flag was raised.

A minute later Jordan Smith again shot, but this time it was deflected over. Then from the resulting corner Delroy Gordon’s header was easily saved. Four minutes later Josh March shot well over under pressure from Henry Eze. Stamford had a second goal as Liam Adams won a header, Jake Duffy then ran forward and was tackled, Eliot Putman won another header before Jordan Smith tucked in well. Ten minutes later Luke Yates headed wide. A minute later an Elliot Sandy volley was blocked, then a Jake Duffy free-kick was easily saved. Before the break a Jake Duffy corner was met by Jordan Smith who played the ball to Liam Adams who shot well over.

A minute after the break Liam Adams was played in forcing a good save from the keeper. On the 52nd minute Eliot Putman won the ball back and volleyed at goal forcing a good save out of the Alvechurch keeper. Two minutes later Henry Eze met a Jake Duffy corner at the back post, it was cleared but the linesman deemed it had crossed the line. On the 57th minute Dave Bellis shot over from range. On the 60th minute a Jordan Smith volley was easily saved.

Two minute later Rob Morgan was played in on goal but his shot was easily saved. On the 65th minute Jordan Smith beat his man from a Ben George cross and nodded the ball to Liam Adams who flicked the ball over the bar. On the 67th minute Alvechurch had a route back into the game as Javia Roberts headed in from close range. Two minutes later an Elliot Sandy volley was blocked. Three minutes later Elliot Sandy was replaced by Sam Hollis. On the 74th minute Dan Haystead tipped over an Alvechurch shot from the edge of the box. A minute later and Stamford stopped Alvechurch having any chance of getting back into the game as Liam Adams played Jon Challinor in on goal and he put the ball past the keeper despite him getting a touch.

Two minutes later Danny Duridat missed a double chance, the first effort was well saved by Haystead and then he put the rebound wide. It was five on the 81st minute as Sam Hollis beat an Alvechurch defender before squaring to Liam Adams who tapped in. Three minutes later and Alvechurch’s goal scorer Javia Roberts forced a great save out of Dan Haystead. A minute later Liam Adams was replaced by John King. In stoppage time it should have been six as Jake Duffy beat his man before shooting into the side netting. The last chance of the game came to the home side as Javia Roberts cut inside and forced another great save out of Dan Haystead.
