We have several teams looking for new players ready for the 2017/18 season. Please feel free to contact the club for more information or contact the managers directly.
Girls Football
Look for footy-mad girls in Years 1-5 at school to join our Girls teams. Our Girls teams play on Saturdays in the Berkshire County Girls Football League (BCGFL). For U8 Girls and U9 Girls, the girls play in a monthly football festival at Kensington Road and the U10 Girls play matches here on a weekly basis.
Once Girls move up to the U11 age group (and above), matches continue on a weekly basis and our home venue is Douai Park, Woolhampton. We are really lucky to be able to play on some of the best pitches in the local area.
Our girls have the choice of playing in our Girls Only football teams or along side the boys in our Mixed teams. We also have a couple of girls who do both (with parent support/management).
Please feel free to contact the managers below for more information on Girls Football:
U10 GIrls - Kate Pike (Current Year 5)
U9 GIrls - Wai-Ling Wong (Current Year 4)
U7/U8 Girls - Chris Cholmeley (Current Year 2 & 3)
U9s - Ian & Tom (Current Year 4). We have three teams playing in local leagues but need a couple more players to join our Black & Stripes teams.
U12s - Jon Harrison (Current Year 7). We have three teams playing in local leagues but need a couple more players to join the squad.
U13s - Jon Schofield (Current Year 8)
U13 Amber is looking for new players to join them as they make the move to 11-a-side next season. They play in the PHYL with matches usually on a Sunday afternoon. Amber play in the top division of their Peter Houseman league and won the PHYL League Cup in 2016/17.
We are now training on the astroturf at Henwick (just follow the lights!) - U6s are to the right as you enter. Training times are still 6-7pm.
All players will need to wear shinpads (please wear under long socks) and bring a drink along.
For more information on our U6s, please contact Karen via u6@thatchamtornadoes.com
