Great spirit in adversity

This morning was always going to be a tough ask especially being down to the bare bones with only 15 players - 3 of whom were carrying knocks - so the result doesn’t really matter. What does matter was the way that these 15 boys fought for each other, supported each other and not once moaned about decisions, positions or mistakes.

Yes, it was a defeat but every one of the 15 deserves our praise, especially those that were asked to play out of position: Richie at full-back, Josh at scrum-half, Adam at outside centre, George throwing at the line-out, Cory at tight-head, James at hooker, Tom playing his first full match and Jake making his debut at loose-head. Self-interest went out of the window and they all played to the best of their abilities for their mates.

Thanks too to all the parents that made the trip, sorry the result didn’t go our way but at least the sun was shining.
