Elms Darbyshire Marines game.

By Joseph Charnock

The Marines Association gets a welcome boost.

After our recent game against the Royal Marine's in honour of Liam Elms and Steven Darbyshire the club are pleased to announce that a total of £2450 will be donated to the Marine's association. This is a fantastic gesture by the club and we would like to thank all contributors including Tesco, Wigan Local Councillors, Martin Ainscough of Ainscough Holdings, Cal for his raffle donation, Hayley Turner Wigan Athletic, and Mick Turner of Ravensport. A lot of hard work went into making this event a special day and it will now be held on a yearly basis but on a larger scale. The Cheque will be presented at the next First team game by our club Chairperson Jodie Whittle. Thanks to Dave Ruddy and Ken Brotherhood plus Bill Bennett cheque given after the game against Wath Brow. Picture shows Club chairperson Jodie whittle presenting the Cheque for £2450 to Marines Association member Ken Brotherhood.
