The game was only three minutes old when captain Michael Starkey cut inside and put a ball through to Joe Jackson. After a neat one-two with Rhys Thomas, Jackson fired across the 'keeper and into the bottom corner.
It turned out to be the only goal of the game. Emley had chances to make the victory more comfortable but the other most notable moment was a wonder save from the returning Adam Lawlor in the Emley goal. A shot came through a sea of bodies and bobbled upwards looking like an equaliser was nailed on until an instinctive left arm turned the ball around the post to applause from both sets of supporters.
In the end, Emley comfortably held on to claim three points.
The Hepworth Group Man of the Match was Wayne Hughes at the heart of a solid back four.
