Another win for Ambleside

Catching practice a must after at least 6 drops

The sun was glorious, the air temperature apparently very hot as two drinks breaks were scheduled for the Ambleside bowlers and the toss was lost yet again. Within the first over both first slip and 'Mouth' had both dropped chances leaving the slightly unfit fit Barney unimpressed! Westgate A found the spongy pitch difficult and wickets began to tumble regularly. More catches were spilled, with the worst drop coming from Woody who palmed the ball one handed away from his pretty face rather than using both hands to catch the ball. The opener Vaughan made 32 out of Westgate's 50 all out. All the bowlers were decent today with youngsters Will and Ben bowling very well with Ben also giving the rest of the team a lesson in catching too.
No tea was taken and with a few glitches Ambleside knocked off the runs with 4 wickets down.
I think all would agree that Ben deserved the player of the match award, not sure if I can write man of the match anymore!!
And...words to describe Ambleside's catching: rubbish, awful, atrocious, appalling, terrible, ghastly, pathetic, horrendous plus many more!
