After dominating the game the Stags fought back bravely to comeback from an out of the blue Malmesbury goal, and yet another mind blowing Red card decision which saw Jordan Coombes sent off for clearing the ball over the Malmesbury clubhouse; another first for me and one which see's Coombes out for 5 matches with no ability to appeal! The wrongful sending off seemed to galvanise the Stags and drove them to equalise in the dieing minutes, something which has happened all to often the other way round this season. Joe Delaney got the finishing touch after one of many late goalmouth scrambles that the 10 men had forced, and fully deserved. Too often we have ended up discussing the inadequacies of the officials, which is bad enough when you consider the level of effort put in "unpaid" by players who leave work early and race 50 miles to practice their hobby only to find themselves on the wrong end of poor subjective decisions by "paid officials", what adds insult to injury however is the level of punishments especially financially seeming to leave one with the feeling that the FA's main priority is funding not fairness !!
