DT: “Glad to get the win and progress to the next round of the County Cup. We were far more dominant than the scoreline suggests, on a pitch that made it difficult for both teams to play.
“We were bright from the outset, putting them under pressure immediately and getting an early goal, another for Cian who keeps his goal-a-game ratio ticking, really settled us down. We could have had much more in the first half, having hit the woodwork four times and the ‘keeper made a couple of good one-on-one stops too.
“The second half was a bit flat, much owing to the pitch, and we didn’t adjust our game to match the increasingly difficult conditions. That was a bit of a leveller and brought Marlow into the game a little more. Still I felt we dealt with everything pretty well at the back and, although the second goal took a long time coming, we were fully deserving of the win.”
“We now move onto the quarter finals, and eagerly anticipate a more competitive draw as you would expect in the latter stages of any competition.”
