Banbury Under 12’s crowned double County Champions

Banbury's Under 12 squad put on an astonishingly dominant display to win both the County 'A' and 'B' titles at the Oxfordshire Festival on Sunday.

Neither side conceded a single try on their route to the titles - a first even for this talented squad.

The Under 12 A's simply demolished Festival hosts Henley by 40 points to nil in the final, having despatched Chinnor with a 10 point to nil victory in the semi-final.

The Under 12 B's enjoyed a much more evenly matched final against Chinnor and ran out worthy 5 point to nil victors.

Also pictured are London Wasps tight-head prop Ben Broster (left) and number 8 Dan Ward-Smith (right). The Guinness Premiership stars had just presented the players with their County Cup trophy and medals.

Banbury's next competitive appearance will be at Twickenham Stadium on Saturday 29th May. They will take on Chelmsford in the semi-final of the prestigious Gullivers Twickenham Finals.
