Grantham Town continued their good form with an emphatic 4-1 victory at home to Barwell.
The visitors started well in the opening 20 minutes, with Ryan Nesbitt firing wide before his free kick was beautifully saved by Kieran Preston.
Curtis Burrows fired a shot that was comfortably collected by Liam Castle, and at the other end, Mitch Piggon got himself in behind but was unable to get a shot off.
Just over five minutes before the break, Zayn Hakeem steered the ball past Castle to open the scoring.
Barwell collapsed in the second half, with Danny Meadows crashing against the post at the start of the second half.
He made up for it a short while later, sweeping the ball past Liam Castle to double his side’s lead.
Grantham then controlled the second half, applying pressure with Meadows and Lee Shaw looking to create.
Substitute Samuel Osborne put the game beyond doubt when he ran through the Barwell defence and slotted the ball past a helpless Castle to seal all three points.
With two minutes to play, Barwell’s top goal scorer Matt Stenson chased down a loose ball and poked past Preston to reduce the deficit.
However, in the first minute of stoppage time, the impressive Danny Meadows regained their three-goal lead to seal an impressive victory against a poor Barwell side.
