Kevin Squire stepped in as manager for the day in the absence of Sean Joyce and Nick Barker but unfortunately was unable to guide The Robins to a victory.
In an evenly fought first half Bideford almost took the lead when Craig Duff struck a shot over from a Ryan Turner cross and Sean Downing forced a save from Kevin Sawyer after a long run and shot. However it was the visitors who took the lead after 26 minutes when Adam Mann’s deflected shot from 18 yards beat Steve Oliver. Bideford pulled themselves level four minutes before half time through a Duff penalty after Turner was fouled. Duff slotted home the spot kick low to the right to make it 1-1 at the break.
The second half was a disappointing one for the home side. Evesham’s Jordan Bryan hit the woodwork with a shot early in the second half and the visitors regained the lead after 68 minutes. James Mayne miskicked in the area after a low ball in and George Peel punished the mistake by finishing past Oliver. With 12 minutes left Evesham made the game safe as Mann was played through and beat Oliver smartly to collect his second and the three points for the away side.
Bideford: Oliver, Allan, Mayne, Harrison, Reed (Wood 74), Smallcombe, Western, Downing, Duff (Veal 80), Tucker (Squire 80), Turner. Subs: Veal, Squire, Wood, Beattie.
