After years of losing some of our best mini players to other clubs, Blackburn hope to develop our own u13 (year 7 and 8) and U15 (year 9 and 10) girls sides.
This Sunday we welcome girls from schools from across the borough and further afield, many of whom took part in the recent Lancashire Youth Games festivals, and who have now been bitten by the Rugby bug. Darwen Vale, Witton Park, St Wilfreds and St Augustine's have all been giving the great game a go, and now, with the help and support of our good friend Kai Burns spreading the message in schools, we aim to present ourselves as Blackburn representatives at a range of forthcoming events and festivals Kai and the RFU will be laying on.
Please help us to guarantee a healthy start to this process by passing on the news via your social media accounts, passing the news to your friends at school and most importantly joining us yourselves at Blackburn Rugby Club this Sunday 7th of October from 12.00 noon, where we will introduce the coaching team and give more details of how the new teams will progress.
