Warrington defence wins the day

Our final competitive game of the season saw us resuming our friendly rivalry with Warrington. When we met them just a few weeks ago, the honours ended even, and we managed to reverse a 15 - 0 deficit in a great second half. Sadly we could not reproduce that form today, again staring really cold and giving the visitors a good lead. We did manage 2 tries of our own in each half, with Josh getting a rare touchdown to keep the game keen. Arthur led the scoring with 2, while Theo grabbed our first one.
Warrington's defence was superb, nullifying our attacking threat brilliantly, particularly being the first team to manage to keep a lid on Tobi, this being the first time he had not scored. They were fortunate as well as our passing was really off the boil today, with really uncharacteristic clangers being dropped all over the place in open play and in set pieces. Despite all this we did manage to keep the game fairly competitive and we can look forward to more of the same next season when we will undoubtedly be matched up with Warrington again.
