Cybi master elements!

High scoring in monsoon conditions!

The Juniors travelled to Caergybi on a wet windy day. The Juniors played into the elements in the first period and after only two minutes were behind as James Ryan netted after a long cross found him in space. On 5 minutes Dewi Thomas skipped through the Juniors defence to net. On 8 minutes Allaway went close for the Juniors but the Juniors found it difficult to get the ball to the half way line as the weather conditions worsened and after 12 minutes James Ryan scored after the Juniors failed to clear from a corner. On 18 minutes James Ryan completed his hat trick again after slack play in defence and failure to clear in the conditions. The Juniors consolidated and competed for the rest of the half as Aron Edwards shot at goal on 33 minutes only for keeper Weekes to save. On 40 minutes Jordan Williams netted for the Juniors after a corner. Soon after the Juniors appealed for a penalty which was not given and Cybi raced downfield to score through Dewi Thomas. Half Time 5v1 . The Juniors now had the elements behind them and opened the half well as Allaway went close as did Connolly. Cybi in turn hit the post and crossbar but on 60 minutes James Ryan scored again. The Juniors kept going and Connolly went close from a free kick on 63 minutes. The Juniors had a period of pressure but Cybi broke away and Dewi Thomas was upended in the penalty box and he scored from the spot on 65 minutes. James Ryan again netted for Cybi on 72 minutes.The Juniors continued to plough forward and gained a free kick which Connolly scored on 74 minutes. On 79 minutes he repeated the process as he again netted from a free kick. Cybi completed the scoring on 84 minutes as Barry Roberts scored. Cybi ran out deserved victors but the Juniors kept going and showed good spirit in poor weather conditions as the goal tally mounted. Cybi are certainly challenging for the league and Dewi Thomas starred in this match whilst the Juniors keeper Roberts had a fine match. The Juniors move forward to the next match hopefully to be played in better weather conditions.
