Get Ready for 2017/18

By Alan Atkin-Park

Here's your five point plan to get ready for the new season.

1. Membership

Membership renewal forms were issued to the majority of last season's members. If you didn't receive yours, contact membership@burntashhockeyclub.com to get yours resent.

New or returning members will need to complete a Membership Application Form.

Payment is required by 30th September.

2. Come to HockeyFest

HockeyFest takes place on Sunday 3rd September at Dartford Technology College, with barbecue afterwards back at the Clubhouse. A great way to meet all members of the club as well as get back into the swing of the game.

No registration required, although it is helpful if you can say you're attending either on the website or the Facebook event page.

See separate news article for details.

3. Get Training Dates in the Diary

Pre-season fitness continues throughout August, with the upper sides using Dartford Technology College on Tuesdays and all sides at the Club on Thursdays.

Astro training has been revised since the pre-season calendar was issued:

Tuesday at Chis 'n' Sid from 5th September
20.00 - 21.30 - Men's 1s and 2s

Wednesday at Hurstmere from 6th September
20.00 - 21.30 - ALL Ladies Teams (this will be reviewed subject to numbers)

Thursday at Dartford Technology College from 7th September
20.00 - 21.30- Men's 3s - 7s

4. Enter Online Availability for Friendlies and League Games

Saturday match schedules are being finalised. We currently await Kent Men's League match schedules. Now's the time to review your online availability. You'll need to be registered on the website to do this, and signed up for the team(s) you'll expect to play for this season.

Times and venues will be updated throughout September.

5. Order Your Kit

The Online kit shop will be updated shortly. If you find your kit needs replacing for the new season, the online kit store is the place to go. The link is at the top of the homepage and social and training kit is available to buy now.
