1st team win 4 - 2; Reserves lose by same score

CUP FC 1st team fought back to win at Hemingfords United as Reserves narrowly defeated once again.

The 1sts made the trip up to the A14 to Hemingford off the back of two impressive victories against title challengers and having won in the cup vs the same opponents. A slow start saw CUP 2 - 1 down at half time, before an improved second half ensured a 4 - 2 success in this Kershaw Premier encounter. The goals came from Heron (2), Gwynne and Patricio - Gwynne equalising with CUP down to 9 men and a stand in goalkeeper of Coe due to sin bins!

The Reserves hosted Steeple Bumpstead in an important match against another side struggling for form and good fortune in Senior B. The visitors went 2 - 0 ahead after 20 minutes despite CUP being on top. Strikes by Onibudo and Kienen Nixon got CUP level by the break. There was a real mix of very good and sloppy football in the second half, the opponents taking their chances to claim a 4 - 2 win.

Training continues on Wednesday night at Shelford RFC, preparing for the weekend ahead when the 1sts host Ely City Reserves and the Reserves make the short trip to Sawston Rovers. Each match is a 2pm kick off.
