Club boast 100% record against the mighty Saracens !!!

In the Clubs 125th Season, Vice Chairman Martyn 'Pogo' Powis is trawling Club archives that were kept by two of the Clubs most prominent Members (Barry Bowker & Ken Birrell)

'Pogo' has unearthed records kept that details of EVERY 1XV fixture played between 1893 and 1954. Within the hand written document, it is detailed that we played the European & Premiership Champions on 4 occasions.

Results are as follows -

14th April, 1933 - (a Friday!) us (25) them (3)
2nd March, 1935 - them (3) us (18)
28th March, 1936 us (13) them (6)
15th March 1947, - postponed due to weather

So, as you would imagine, with us having a 100% record, and with the last fixture being postponed, we have cordially invited Messers Farrell, Vunipola, Itoje and their Team Mates to visit 'The Shrine' to honour the postponed fixture.
