A great result and a great performance from Carniny. With the Friday night games finished it was a chance to try out a couple who normally play then. Both Ryan Power and Jamie Percy had great games. Just like on a Friday night Ryan’s work rate and passing was spot on. Jamie was as tenacious as ever up front and both boys where rewarded with 2 goals each. From the regulars who normally play on a Saturday Mathew McDonald was excellent in midfield. Always winning the ball back and driving forward to great effect. Mathew Ewart and Jamie Black where both very dangerous up front and looked like scoring every time they went forward. Jamie got on the score sheet twice and Mathew scored a hat trick, setting us on our way after just 40 seconds with a brilliant show of dribbling and then a great finish. Charlie McCartney in goal was excellent in the first half making three brilliant saves to keep us in the game. In the second half he swapped with Joshua Orr and was very effective at left back. McCauley Shields and Joshua Orr where their usual reliable selves at the back great tackling and excellent passing setting up so many attack’s. Next week is the last week in Coleraine before we break for winter, let’s hope they keep up this good form right to the end. Good work boys.
