Gladiators need your votes

By Jim Green

Every time you shop in Tesco during January and February you can vote for Chester Gladiators to receive a Bags of Help grant.

Chester Gladiators is one of three groups shortlisted for grants of£4,000, up to £2,000 and £1,000 raised from carrier bag sales in Tesco stores.

The club's project will support the development of rugby league in the city through providing free taster events and the creation of new junior teams and a Masters team for over 35s.

Voting is open in Tesco stores throughout January and February. Customers will cast their vote using a token given to them at the check-out in store each time they shop in the following stores:

Tesco, Sealand Road
Tesco, Chester City Centre
Tesco, Broughton
Tesco Express, Pepper Street
Tesco Express, Weston Grove
Tesco Express, Delamere Street

Voting is due to start on 2 January, however Tesco have advised that due to the Christmas and New Year festivities there may be a slight delay in getting new project information into stores for the start of the voting. Our project can be voted for until the end of February 2018 so there is plenty of time for to cast your votes.

Please note there is no minimum spend and remember to ask the cashier for a token every time you shop as some stores do not hand them out routinely.
