SHORT REPORT
Saturday's hat-trick hero Scott Jones scored late on to earn City a first away point of the season up at Crawley Down in a mid-week match that finished with the hosts reduced to nine men.
Whilst Miles Rutherford's side has been scoring goals for fun at Oaklands Park, goals and points have been hard to come by on City's travels so far this league campaign.
The Chi boss would have been pleased with his team's start at Haven Sportsfield when Dave Herbert struck in the 7th minute.
CDG though were level within two minutes through Lee Thomas.
Two close league matches between the clubs ended in two-all draws last term and this one remained 1-1 until Russell Malton put the home side ahead with twenty minutes to go.
Referee Robert King brandished a number of yellow cards and sent off Malton and Williams Peauroux.
The second red was for a handball on the line in a move that ended with Jones equalising in the 89th minute to add to the Anvils' anguish.
The point ensures City remain third in the league, for now, on goal difference.
