Manager Chris Davies celebrated his 100th win as First Team manager on Saturday. Goals from Peter Rees, Ashley Owen, Richie Evans and Gregg Brown saw us beat Aberaeron 4-1 away from home.
Aberaeron had the majority of possession and created a few half chances in the opening half hour. With with half time fast approaching, Ashley Owen whipped a ball into the box, Colin Reynolds headed back across goal for Peter Rees to tap in from close range to see us take a 1-0 lead.
The second half kicked off with us on top in the first ten minutes. The referee then awarded a penalty to the home side. Colin Reynolds was deemed to have pulled down their striker. Keeper Kris Williams made a brilliant save though to keep us ahead. That spurred us on and Gregg Brown fired wide moments later. Sub Ioan Humphreys then won a penalty after being brought down in the area. Ashley Owen stepped up to score and increase the lead. Another sub, Richie Evans scored a free kick within minutes of being sent on to make it 3-0. Moments later Gregg Brown caught the keeper off his line and fired the ball into the top corner from 30 yards out to make it 4-0. A soft penalty was awarded by the ref in the final minute, this time Williams was beaten. We saw out added on time to record a fantastic 4-1 victory.
