Disappointing Result
The First Team dropped two points away to Radnor Valley on Saturday.
In a first half we dominated from start to finish, we somehow found ourselves 1-0 down at half time. Sloppy defending saw Valley take the lead with seconds to go before half time. We had created several chances in the first half though and had the majority of possession. Gregg Brown fired wide from a tight angle, Peter Rees was denied after a one on one, Ioan Humphreys saw a point blank header saved by the busy home team keeper. Richie Evans saw a goal bound shot blocked before Ben Jones fired over the bar as we failed to make the breakthrough.
We were back on level terms 5 minutes into the second half. Gregg Brown released Richie Evans, he slipped the ball through the defenders legs before calmly slotting passed the keeper. We pushed on again and had the majority of the ball but failed to take our chances. Valley took the lead with 15 to go as we were hit on the counter attack. Substitute Andrew Evans nearly scored with his first touch, his shot failed to test the keeper after being released by Richie Evans. Andrew Evans headed home a Jordan Jones corner to see us level the game with 7 minutes to go. Evans then hit the post in the final minutes before Richie Evans saw a goal bound effort cleared away. Peter Rees was denied a stone wall penalty in added on time as the game finished 2-2.
