Academy Team of the Week - Monday 29th January 2018

Following another full week of academy action this weeks Team of the Week has been announced.

U8s Kaden Wickens

Outstanding performance from out wide, with some impressive skills to beat players, and some fantastic goals from range which saw him come away with a Hatrick vs Flint, well done laden. (Jamie Wynne U8 Coach)

U9s Gethin Roberts

Gethin worked tiredlessly against Flint on saturday and has worked really hard in training. The tough tackling midfielder put in a great display on Saturday and even got on the score sheet with a well taken goal. (Craig Griffiths U9 Coach)

U10's Iago Scott

Superb individual performance from new signing Iago in futsal on Saturday, Showing excellent creativity with the ball at feet, Demonstrating skills to beat his opponents in the right situations, Massively impressed with his decision making, Keep it up, Well done Iago. (Ben Nash U10 Coach)

U11's Harry Price

Harry for his excellent distribution and selection of pass during futsal on Saturday, he only conceded 3 goals in 8 games, which was not only a result of his goalkeeping but also the defensive organisation of the team. Well done Harry. (Gavin Bennett U11 Coach)

U12s - Jack Lever/b]

Another excellent performance from Jack in the Futsal. Showing determination to win numerous tackles in both semi and final, showing composure on the ball and scoring a great individual goal! Well done Jack! (Jordan Mapp-Jones U12 Coach)

[b]U13's - Ben Hesketh

Played in a more advanced holding midfield role today, was absolutley outstanding from start to finish! Added some much needed physicality into our midfield, spraying the ball around on 2/3 touch all game also.(Ben Nash U13 Coach)

U14s Alex Palmer

Back to his best the last few weeks after injury , showed great attitude and work ethic in Sunday’s futsal , showing some great finishing against his old club , good to see him back ... well done Alex. (Dale Johnson U14 Coach)

U15s - No Game

U16s - Leo Sumner

Leo worked hard for the team against Wrexham in what was a fantastic team performance (Mark Rowlands U16 Coach)

Coleg Cambria Nomads Academy Scholars B team - Cameron Ramsay

Capped off a great attacking performance with a goal. Shown great desire to win his personal battle and made a big impact on the game. Well done Cam. (Iain Bennett Scholars Coach)

Under 18 - Taylor Ascroft

Played with confidence and positivity throughout the 90 minutes, constant energy and always looked for supportive movements when in and out of possession with 2 goals capping off his performance. (Matt Sampson U18 Coach)

Under 19 - Tom Weir

Was lively and looked to link up play with the midfield. On another day could have had 2/3 goals but unfortunately wasn’t to be this week. A great week for Tom who is settling in to being in and around the first team sessions. Well done Tom. (Daniel Reece U19 Coach)

Where next?

U14s Crowned North Wales Futsal Champions 2018 Yesterday our U14s defeated TNS in the North Wales Futsal Finals and booked themselves a trip to the National Finals in Cardiff later this year.
Academy Fixtures Wednesday 24th -Sunday 28th January 2018 North Wales Futsal Finals along with scholars U18s and U19s league action in a big week ahead for the academy.
