A great start to the in season games program for all of our sides, which saw fantastic home games against Wrexham and Airbus at The Quay 3G, with away journeys to Rhyl, Caernarfon and Newtown also.

Huge well done to all coaches and players on a great full first week back with lots of great feedback and reports across all ages.

Full reviews each week will be pulled together by Head of Phases and posted on our website every Monday.

All results and player stats will also be updated on each teams page of the website by respected Head Coach.

Mini Phase U8-U12 Weekly Review - Leighton Sumner

A busy weekend of football saw our mini sides play firstly on Friday night at the Quay 3G, Hosting Wrexham Fc from ages U9s to U11s.

The night had some excellent games with some quality football on show from both teams.

Our U9s competed well and ran out 7-2 winners, our U10s had a closely fought match but the visitors took this one 3-0, our U11s put in a real commanding display and came out on top of a 4-1 win, and the final game of the night was won by Wrexham 7-1 v our U11s.

Thanks to our Visitors Wrexham for some Very competitive games and hopefully we can arrange some more fixtures throughout the season.

Secondly our sides from U8s to U11s travelled away to play Rhyl on Saturday, once more some exciting games with super football was on show in very wet conditions. Our U8s played out an 8-1 victory at Rhyl with a quality display and impressed coach Jordan Parry most with the way they defended.

Our U9s was a closer affair as we came away with a 1-0 win, on another day we could have scored another 2 or 3 more but it just wouldn’t go in. Again our coach James Duff was delighted by his teams defending and the clean sheet.

Our U10s also won the game by 6 goals to 2, in an excellent match, with a few players unavailable, other players played in different positions and made an impression on coach Craig Griffiths.

Our U11s game was quite a scrappy encounter as 9v9 was played on quite a tight pitch, however our boys managed to create some great openings and ran out 4-2 winners on the day which pleased coach Ben Nash.

Thanks to Rhyl for the games and we look forward to seeing them back at our place in February.

Youth Phase U13-U16 Weekly Review - Iain Bennett

A great weekend for the Youth phase saw all 4 teams play against Rhyl, Caernarfon and Wrexham.

Our Under 13s travelled to Rhyl to play on their new 3G facility, after a slow start coaches Danny Mapp and Anthony Weaver said that the second half was much improved and deservedly ran out 3-2 winners with some excellent performances on the day.

Our 14s traveled to Bangor to play Caernarfon 14s and produced a very good display to win 6-0, the team are coming together nicely and again were some top performers on the day, coach Ryan turner commented the boys are starting to gel really well and things are looking positive moving forwards.

Our 15s also traveled to Bangor to play Caernarfon 16s and produced a fine display to win 7-1, coach Dale Johnson said the boys were excellent especially new addition Ross Mcfall who stood out with a superb display.

Our 16s played against Wrexham at the 3G in our only home game of the weekend, coach Mark Rowlands commented thy the boys started really well going into a 2-0 lead only to be pipped back to finish 2-2. Caleb rose getting both the goals on the day in another good performance for the 16s.

Next weekend sees our first round of Academy Cup fixtures so lots to work on aswel as our 1st sessions of our new structured coaching plan.

Senior Phase U18-U19 Weekly Review - Iain Bennett

Senior phase had a excellent weekend with both the 18s and 19s performing really well to register a 2-2 home draw against local rivals Airbus, the game started well for the lads and were more than deserving of registering a point against a good opposition side.

Coach Matt Sampson commented that the team played really well on the day with some outstanding performances that the team put right from a disappointing result the previous weekend.

On Sunday saw our Welsh Premier development team play away to Newtown at Latham Park. A very composed performance from the players saw them register a 2-0 victory that could have been a few more, controlled the game for large spells and were more than deserving to win on the day.

Big week ahead now with our first category 1 fixture Wednesday and then 1 game next weekend as our Sunday squad take the weekend off.
