Match Preview: Denbigh Town v Penrhyncoch

By Stephen Whitfield

Saturday 8th Sept 2.30 ko Central Park

Everyone at Central Park knows we need to start improving very soon but the visit by Penrhyncoch this Saturday will not make things easy. They have won three matches so far this season only losing to Porthmadog and Rhyl who are both expected to be challenging for the top place. Their win against Flint last weekend means they will be travelling up to Denbigh with a firm expectation of going away with something.

Matty Jones told us " Its been 8 days since our defeat to Conwy Borough last time out and rest assured, we as a management team and playing staff have been working extremely hard to right the wrongs of that game and ensure we get this season moving in the right direction."

Matty is very aware of what is needed this Saturday and added " We know we are going to have to be at our very best and this is the message being delivered to the players. We must start picking up points and must start approaching games with a winning mentality and an attitude to work hard for every second on the pitch."

As a change in the training routine and in an effort to improve team bonding the management duo took the players to DW Gym in Bangor midweek and had a good training session arranged by personal trainer and midfield player Sam Downey.

Make no mistake the lads are up for this game so come down to Central Park and cheer them on.

C'mon Denbigh !
