First to put pen to paper was former Bromley and Croydon Athletic midfielder Danny Waldren. Despite being an experience campaigner Danny is still just 26, able to play either in central midfield or defence, and a bit of a whizz on the old dead balls. Last season he helped Bromley to lift the Conference South title.
Talking of his new signing Gavin Rose said; "Danny is from Bermondsey and we always try and get boys who are local so they build up an affinity.
"Bromley really appreciated him - they love him as a player and as a person. They were dubious how many games he would start and didn't want to make him travel and maybe not guarantee playing a certain amount of games."
Rose followed up that signing with the coup of capturing the much-travelled striker Jacob Erskine from Maidenhead United. Another local lad hailing from Lambeth, Jacob had a brief spell in the Football League with Gillingham.
