Dulwich Hamlet 1-1 Wealdstone

In front of a season's best crowd of 1101, Dulwich introduced new signings Iffy Allen and Liam Nash with Michael Chambers, Nathan Green, Jay May and Magnus Okuonghae returning from injury,

Dulwich started brightly and had the best early chance when Iffy Allen combined with Nathan Green whose shot was palmed out by North in the visitors goal and the rebound was hacked away for a corner.

Jay May headed just over in the 13th minute as Dulwich looked to gain the initiative, although the early promise faded and it took a spectacular save from Preston Edwards to prevent Wealdstone taking a 16th minute lead. A cross came in from their left and Pratt rose 10 yards out to meet it with a header that looked destined for the top corner. However, Edwards sprung to his left to parry the ball on to the underside of the bar.

At the other end May again headed just too high, Nathan Ferguson saw a good effort blocked and Iffy Allen forced a low save from North.

However, it was Wealdstone that took the lead in the 23rd Minute. A free kick was allowed to bounce in the box and Michael Chambers was adjudged to have caught Pratt in the face with his boot. Bradley Hudson-Odoi stepped up send Edwards the wrong way with the resulting penalty.

Falling behind, as they have done in every home game this season, dented The Hamlet's confidence and they were unable to make any impression as an attacking force, whilst being tentative in possession. As a result, it was Wealdstone who noww looked likely to double their lead.

Freddie Grant fired an effort across goal following a corner and Edwards produced another brilliant stop to deny Pratt when the ball arrived at his feet 6 yards out, The Hamlet keeper keeping the effort out with his legs from point blank range.

Half Time 0-1

Dulwich came out for the second half with positive intent and North clawed out a long range effort from Nathan Ferguson within the opening minute of the half; Liam Nash unable to get to the rebound.

However, again The Hamlet were unable to build on their good start to the half and Wealdstone's defenders were able to hold them comfortably at bay until pressure built after fresh arrivals from the bench around teh hour mark.

As they got a head of steam up, Nathan Green saw his header well saved by North and Jay May saw an effort blocked, before The Stones goal lead a charmed life in the 71st minute, with May seeing his effort blocked on the line and a follow up also blocked by North, who was injured in the scramble.

With ten minutes remaining, Dulwich got the equalising goal that they deserved. A long ball forward found Anthong Cook running from left to right, he accelerated towards the penalty area and fired an early effort from 20 yards that beat North low to his left for his first goal in Pink and Blue.

Dulwich now sensed they could win it and North produced a fine tip over to deny a long range effort from Ibrahim Kargbo, although the official awarded a goal kick.

In typical Dulwich fashion, there was no interest in settling for a point and for a time Wealdstone resorted to hacking the ball clear only to find it coming straight back at them.

However, they recovered their composure and had a chance to win the game in the second minute of stoppage time, but substitute Mitchell shot wastefully over the bar after a fine knock down from Pratt.
