Greenwich Push Hamlet To Penalties

Two penalties in normal time gave Greenwich Borough a draw over 90 minutes but The Hamlet triumphed on penalties

he Hamlet were made to work hard before winning a shoot out against Greenwich Borough.

Dulwich took the lead in the 13th minute when a mistake in defence was seized upon by Gavin Tomlin. He threaded a pass through to Iffy Allen who fired past Mc Gill in the home goal.

After having an Anthony Cook effort disallowed for a push, Greenwich equalised when Preston Edwards tripped an attacker on the edge of the box and Teo Kutraran fired home from the spot.

Half Time 1-1

Dulwich reclaimed the lead in the 62nd minute with Jay May's first goal for the club. His header from Anthony Cook's cross was saved by McGill but May seized on the rebound.

Greenwich pushed for an equaliser in the closing stages and were rewarded when CHeik Toure committed a clumsy foul in the final minuet of stoppage time. This time Reece Deakin fired home from teh spot.

Full Time 2-2

In the shootout Ashley Carew, Jay May, Anthony Cook, Dipo Akinyemi and Gavin Tomlin all comfortably scored, whilst a fourth kick fired high over the bar ultimately proved costly for the home side.
