We have a number of key roles that are currently vacant which are critical to aid our growth and development, full support, training fully available.

Role: Women’s Rugby Development Officer (WRDO)
Reporting: Director of Rugby
Time: 2-3 Hrs Per Week

Short Description:
To develop and implement a formal plan to form Women’s and Youth Girls’ Rugby at Eastbourne Rugby Club. Recruit, provide, make coaching available to host open days, sessions, work with local schools and Universities (in conjunction with Rugby Development Officer) promoting Youth/Women’s Rugby including marketing & communications. Build on existing links with both University and Country Women’s Rugby to form and develop Eastbourne Rugby Club hosting Women’s Rugby with the aim to form a Senior Women’s team and or Youth Girls Team with future league registration. Working closely with appointed Club positions such as Rugby Development Officer & Volunteer Co-Ordinator.

Role: Director of Rugby (DOR)
Reporting: Head of Rugby
Time: 3-5 Hrs Per Week

Short Description:
To work in conjunction with five main sections/functions of the Club, Senior Coaching Team, Youth Chair, Physio and the Rugby Development Officer & Women’s Rugby Development Officer ensuring the Club operates within the boundaries of both RFU Continuum and Club guidelines, key link between the Club and the above sections continuing to improve the overall quality of the Rugby being played at the Club by all age groups as well as how we attract/retain and improve the players we have at our disposal. Attend County RFU meetings when required and will predominantly spend their time dealing with the business of ensuring the Men’s/Women’s/Youth playing sections of the Club are operating smoothly.

Role: Head of Rugby
Reporting: Director / Vice Chairman
Time: 3-5 Hrs Per Week

Short Description:
To work in conjunction with and supervise appointed Director of Rugby (DOR) covering five main sections/functions of the Club, to manage, develop and directionally steer other key functions appointed within the Club such as Media & Communications Officer, Recruitment Officer, Mini Rugby Chair, link between Club and Country Rugby and our appointed Volunteer Co-ordinator. Attend County RFU meetings when required and will predominantly spend their time dealing with the business of ensuring all key functions/roles associated with the playing, running and development of Rugby within the Club are operating smoothly, continuing to improve and addressing any areas of concern.

Role: Touch Rugby Development Officer
Reporting: Head of Rugby
Time: 1 Evening Per Week / 1-2 Hours

Short Description
To form and develop a Touch Rugby scheme run under the umbrella of Eastbourne Rugby Club. To provide opportunities to play Touch which is a fun and friendly environment for both men and women of all abilities to get involved in touch rugby. Whether it’s about honing your fitness or having a great time exercising as a group. Open to all and hosted throughout the Summer months/season to offer those wanting to try Rugby but maybe not contact and encourage/offer an alternative social group within our dynamic Club. Support, Kit, equipment to be provided. We are looking for someone to organise sessions, advertise and partner with those within the club to develop and provide Touch Rugby at Eastbourne RFC.

Coach to Sussex Cup Final A 53 Seater Coach has been booked to take the team and indeed our supporters to the Sussex Cup Final on Saturday 28th April 2018.
Honorary Life Member Keeps on Giving Roger Stanley former First XV Head Coach was nominated by ERFC Rugby Development Officer for our Volunteer of the Month.
