England Rugby Coaching Award

ERFC are pleased to announce that Wil Wardle U14's Team Manager/Coach is our newest club coaching volunteer to have completed the England Rugby Coaching Award.

"What an amazing experience, to have taken part in this coaching program. It was very professionally run and the educators themselves were very encouraging and made every effort to make you feel at ease.
In the same breath the whole experience really took me out of my comfort zone (which is a good thing) and showed me the capabilities behind adopting the RFU coaching ethos.
I certainly feel a lot more confident as a result and look forward to putting into practice what I have learned through a more active involvement as assistant coach in my sons team.
A key takeaway is that it has challenged me to look at giving more decision making opportunities back to the boys, so that they can start thinking for themselves on match day.
There is a fair bit of commitment to complete the course which is undertaken over 3 Sundays, but also the opportunity through this commitment to meet likeminded individuals and to learn some important new life skills through the game of rugby we all love
"

ERFC is committed to driving coaching standards up, and moving towards the RFU's best practice in coaching.
