The second team will be to milk the Super Saturday occasion that is the President's lunch in the cup semi-final against Saracens Amateurs IIs, and they are clearly in a good place judged by the manner of their big win against Epping Upper Clapton IIs in the Herts-Middlesex Merit Table Two finale at Donkey Lane.
In a Barbarianesque game in which 105 points were scored and both sides threw caution to the wind, the blue and golds claimed the lion's share by running in 11 tries - six of which were converted by youth section graduate Jack O'Toole. For good measure, Eron Dottin-Wilson and Seyi Adeosun claimed four each, with Man of the Match Calum Middleton (two) and Alex McCall responsible for the rest, as the hosts found themselves 38-15 up at half-time.
Spokesman Paul Duke said: "It was a very positive spot to finish off the league season. We looked good going forward, and although we leaked some soft tries, we registered some impressive scores of our own through good build-up play. Calum Middleton was our Man of the Match for his numerous try assists. He also crossed the line twice himself whereas Eron Dottin-Wilson (Pictured) and Seyi Adeosun both claimed four tries each - some of which were orchestrated from within our own half.
"Credit must also be given to Jake Baker who had his first game as captain. It was a good end to the {league) season and an excellent prep for the cup semi-final against Saracens Amateurs."
