Ignatians worked feverishly during the game. However, once Daroush Fayaz went off injured they were really were up against as they then had to play most of the game with 14 men. Despite the numerical inferiority, Ignatians will reflect that they did very well to be still very much in the hunt at half-time when the score was evenly poised at 7-7 after Lewis White forced his way over for the visitors.
The second-half proved a tougher slog as Biggleswade pulled ten points clear on the scoreboard.
However, the visitors had their moments which climaxed with Alex McCall adding a second although ultimately it was to prove but a mere consolation in the great scheme of things.
The game also marked the debut of colt, Angelo Dineen. Playing his first senior game, he made a good contribution on an afternoon when the blue and golds defended their line stoutly.
