Frimley came into this fixture ready to continue their second half form from Saturday, with only a few games left, it was a great night of football and a great evening for those watching
The opening play was scrappy, but Frimley then began to get a foothold and spraying the ball with purpose with Sam Hamer mastering the midfield and working well with Zac Horkan, McKinlay and Tayor across the middle of the park
Frimley took the lead when Dos Santos continuing his recent games at left back, took on his man and ran deep into the Staines Half, his drilled cross finding Dan Bone at the near post after a fantastic diagonal run across the staines box to get into space. 1-0 Frimley
More efforts followed and Staines tried their best to get to the backline of Primett, Ward, Kellett-Smith and Dos Santos, and although they found themselves winning corners, the defence stood strong.
Frimley Doubled their lead, this time Bone with the run to the byline, his cross stabbed home by the ever impressive George Bowerman who was having one of his strongest games for the club with delightful touches and close control causing problems. 2-0
HT whistle blew, 2-0 and looking comfortable
Second half and it became 3-0. Bone stepped up to take a long range freekick, his drilled effort finding the bottom corner
Frimley almost made it an immediate 4th on the break after intercepting Staines immediately after the kickoff, however the attack broke down and Staines had a goal back, a ball over the top found Capon and when one on one the ball was only going one place. Bottom right hand corner 3-1 Frimley
Frimley stood firm over the next 10 minutes as Staines started to get more players forward, but then potentially the killer 4th. Hamer picked up the ball in the middle after some great interplay with Horkan, Hamer found Bowerman who held the ball up, turned and made some space on the left, he sent a drilled delivery to the far post where Bone was there to slot home to the bottom right hand corner 4-1 and Bone had got his Hattrick
Frimley made it 5 when again clever midfield play forced Staines to retreat, Bowerman again holding play and finding bone just inside the box, his clever turn provided a yard of space and a rocket shot into the bottom left hand corner 5-1
Staines deep into the half got themselves a second goal, a great freekick delivery was headed home by Karanja who had lost his man 5-2
FT and it was 5-2 Frimley
It was a very comfortable performance and whilst Sam Hamer took the plaudits for a motm performance, it could have been given to a raft of players. Bone, Bowerman, McKinlay, Horkan, Not forgetting the defence and Chris Harris in goal who pulled of some great saves and seems to gain in confidence with each game.
