Garforth Town v Parkgate FC - Saturday 10th March

By Jonathan McGourty

Garforth entertain Parkgate at the Supply Chain Network this Saturday (3pm) Preview by Samuel Bannister

Weather-permitting, Rob Hunter will finally get his chance to manage Garforth again for the first time in over four months on Saturday, with Town set to host Parkgate.

Our visitors are stuck in the relegation zone, but have won their last two games. They have played more recently than Garforth, beating Albion Sports on 24th February, when our game against Athersley was postponed.

Town will be hoping to get back to winning ways after the February cup loss to Yorkshire Amateur signalled just our second loss out of nine games in 2018.

In the reverse fixture against Parkgate in October, Garforth won 2-1 thanks to a Calum Ward free kick and a Mark Simpson stunner.

On the injury front, Mitch Hamilton is still struggling with an ankle problem, Steve Weatherill is out for a further two weeks with a shoulder injury, and Ward had an operation on his ankle this week. New signing Aodhan Brownlee could be in line for his debut.

The game kicks off at 3pm on Saturday at the Supply Chain Network Stadium, let’s hope for a good game and a decent crowd.
