Prims started the 18/19 season with a home game against Belper United who finished 5 last season.
It was Prims that started the brightest and after 5 mins Jordan Lee has a cross shot which went narrowly wide, after 10minutes it was Lee again that forced a save from Rathbone in the Belper goal only for debutant James Allen to put the rebound wide. It was all Prims at this point and Fretwell in the Prims goal had very little to do.
In the 32nd minute Lee had a hat trick of misses when a shot from 20 yards hit the cross bar.
Prims finally took the lead through Brad Scard in the 40th minute when he was bought down in the penalty area and after picking himself up scored from the spot.
Halt time1-0
The second half started in the same vein and a great move involving Gwinnutt, Scard and Lee saw the latter shoot narrowly wide.
Prims then increased the lead when Kial Thurman’s pass split the Belper defence for Scard to run on to and slot the ball past Rathbone to get his and Prims second.
Belper then started to push players forward to try and get something out of the game and could only score a consultation goal in the 91st minute when Dunne hooked the ball in from 5 yards after Prims failed to clear a corner
