So here we go back to league action this week, and back at the Raygar Arena, for the visit of Barrow town fc.
Having had a good downpour of rain, prior to the game starting,it created a fast playing surface, however this played into our visitors hands,as it was them that got off to a fast start, moving the ball quickly, into there forwards, who seemed to have pace in abundance. They sustained this start for around 15 minutes, creating a number of half chances, but never really got close to scoring. Gradually Prims started to get a hold on the game, and in the 27 th minute a direct ball nodded on by Kev Morrow, into the path of Jordan Lee,who delicately lobbed the keeper, giving Prims a 1-0 lead at half time, although it was pretty even.
Once again Barrow came out the blocks in the second half, very quickly and in the 49 th minute, they levelled up. From here on in,it once again was very even, however as the second half progressed Prims did start to dominate possession, and in the 86 minute Kev Morrow latched onto a through ball, and drew the keeper out and smashed the ball in from the angle. Those of us in the crowd thought that this would be the winner, but Barrow had a different view, with a scramble around our 6 yard box,in the 88 th minute saw,Andy Fretwell Prims keeper palm into his own net making it 2-2. Unfortunately this was not the end,as some minutes later saw a long punt down the middle from Barrow, and a diving tackle just outside the box from Jordan Kelly, who actually received a red card, gave Barrow a free kick ,which they duly converted, winning the game 3-2.
A little bit harsh,a draw would probably of been the right result.
M.O.M Kev Morrow never gave up,and his desire to get into the box should of give Prims the win.
