First Time Trip To Farsley Celtic For Gingebreads

By Callum Boyle

Tuesday night sees Grantham play away to Farsley Celtic in what will be the first ever encounter between the two sides.

The Gingerbreads will be looking to win back to back games after scoring two late goals on Saturday to beat Workington Town in horrific conditions.

Saturday's win saw Grantham leap back into second place and just two points behind league leaders Warrington Town.

Farsley Celtic on the other hand will be wanting to get back to winning ways after losing 4-2 at Warrington Town on Saturday, leaving them fifth in the league and occupying the last play off spot.

Furthermore, Farsley Celtic come into the game in poor form having lost three of their last five games in all competitions . The Gingerbreads meanwhile are in fine form, registering four wins in their last five games.

Despite the contrasting form from each side, Grantham manager Adam Stevens believes his side will be in for a good test: "They're a very good side and the table shows that. Just like Saturday, we have to be ready for the inevitable test and ensure we play to our highest standards to make sure at the end of the game the three points are ours."

In terms of team news, Sam Purcicoe still remains a doubt for Tuesday's game but the rest of the squad remains available for Tuesday's game.

WARNING! For supporters who are going, the A1 between Newark and Grantham will be closed for resurfacing at the time you'll be returning, so plan an alternative route.
