Levi Laing - Former Hampton Youth player represents England

By Stefan Rance

Former Hampton Youth Alumni Levi Laing recently represented England against Belgium at St Georges Park.

His former manager Adam Shawyer provided the club with this update.

Levi is a great example of waiting until the right time.

Academies were coming for Levi from U7 & the parents decided that it was better for him to train/play with Hampton until senior school & then he would be old enough to deal with the pressure & travelling required.

This has proved to be the making of him, kept him grounded & still comes to watch his old team to support them whenever he can. If your good enough the opportunities will still be there.

Levi Fact Check....
Played for Hampton from U6 2008 - U12 2014
Went to Brentford Academy 2014 – 2016 (Academy closed)
Signed for Arsenal 2016 won the league in 2017.
Got the England call to train at St Georges summer of 2017
Played first England game v Belgium February 2018.

Everyone associated with the club congratulates Levi on this achievement and look forward to hearing more about his career and his development over the coming years
