On Friday 8 June, a crash of Haringey Rhinos' volunteers enjoyed a night of hospitality and awards, as part of the Mitsubishi Motors Volunteer of the Year Awards 2018. The Rhinos' volunteers were all nominated for the excellent work and huge amount of time they devote to the club. Nominees included our committee members, players and coaches.
Viccy Gardiner and Sam Shirley also graduated the RFU Leadership Academy, so they picked up two certificates on the night! Congratulations!
Volunteers are the lifeblood of grassroots clubs and I am very grateful for the contribution of every volunteer at the Rhinos. You're all amazing. We are always looking for more volunteers, so if you'd like to get involved, please get in touch!
England Rugby and Mitsubishi Motors have developed the Mitsubishi Motors Volunteer Recognition Programme to provide grassroots rugby clubs with opportunities to recognise and reward the volunteers who make up an integral part of the game.
